It’s a nightmare looking at houses in the country isn’t it. There’s very often always ‘something’ they would make me nervous about spending a few million. Roads/new builds/ etc etc

Very nice, and a lovely area. Don’t know how intrusive noise from the A road would be and there might be periodic blasting from Daglingworth Quarry. I’ll have to consider these factors carefully before making an offer

It looks like just some stairs which lead somewhere at some point in time. Where's the access to the "wine cellar"? It's not in the plans...

They probably didn't lead anywhere. Common to have a 'simple' wine cellar like that that's just a hole in the ground to form a cool, dark place. Smaller versions can have a motorised cylinder that will rise out of the ground from under the pantry or kitchen floor.
