Looks like it was a 'fresh' build. In the garden of the other house. The renders look OK, shame about the actual finished project!!

The size of the master bathroom is odd too, nearly as big as the bedroom!!

The original house there is called 'Sero sed serio', google thinks 'Late but seriously (or Late but efficient)'

What's with having your front door literally steps away from busy roads and dirty driveways in an often sodden area? Plus if it's someone who has chopped a bit off their extensive gardens, like there seems to often be in England, the houses are somehow designed to be the worst that they could be.

Interesting plan. They really did stuff up the delivery of that one.

That glass cladding on the upstairs was an interesting choice.

And who the f##k puts radiator pipes around the walls like that any more? Whole house Looks cheap and nasty.

Wouldn't be the most difficult house to gut and fix with some larger windows upstairs with some larch cladding and stone cladding downstairs for a contrast.

I read that the walls are straw bale insulated - would that account for the exposed pipes?

Anyone fancy some land that's basically the remains of the inside of a quarry, full of landfill, infested with japanese knotwood and an illegally modified stable?

I suppose there are worse places, maybe some with worse extensions but the Agent is talking utter horlicks here - it's very local to me. Tranquil my arse, with M40 within very close earshot, and a very busy cut-through road right at your front door - still, it's handy for the local dogging woods I suppose.

What on Earth is going on with this?

I get that the right hand property was being used as a business premises but beyond that nothing makes sense here.
Why only knock through the master bedroom but then use it like two separate rooms anyway? Why are their so many individual seats everywhere? Why keep bleach on the same shelf as food? Why have those ugly diner-style table and chairs in the "breakfast room" (actually downstairs shower)that is not near the kitchen? Why put the loft stairs in a bedroom? Why 15 spotlights in every room? Why not tidy/clean before estate agent photos? Why enrage the cable Gods? Why own two million pound houses and do this to them?

This virtual tour is a paean to the couple's marriage which broke down and neither would accept the other's offer on the house so it went the same way as their marriage - quite poignant now that the dust has literally settled, along with the rest of their belongings and much of the ceilings...
