This is a dark smoked mirror, made to measure with the sockets cut out, simple to clean.

We had similar, bronze smoked mirror with socket cutouts etc.

Easy to see the marks, and easy to clean them off again.

Heat treated safety glass, safe to use behind the hob and oven.

We just chose a cooker with a lift-up glass top, which means a) extra worktop space when you aren't cooking, and b) it automatically becomes a splashback when you're using the hob. Also means the top of the cooker always looks clean - just drop the lid down and even if you haven't had time to clean up the hob properly, it doesn't look a mess. Ours is tiled behind, but the splashback protection from the lid means it still looks clean and tidy, even though in November the kitchen will have been in for 15 years.

I like the floor, what is it? Wood/laminate/LVT?

It’s a laminate, this was completed during lockdown and we had few choices, it was initially temporary but it’s as good as new so we just left it.

I think it was Balterio.

We went with a vein matched full height splashback on the sink run and the broke it up a bit on the cooker run to avoid over kill..

I recommend getting creative with the quartz and don’t be afraid to get them to stencil bespoke elements

We too have glass splashbacks and no regrets. If you think quarts is easy to keep clean think again. We have black and it shows up any grease much smears... even if you wipe it down but don't dry off you can get streaks. My sister however has a green quartz which is more forgiving.

I went for glass, which is great looking and easy to clean too. You can choose any colour you want as you just supply the glass company with the RAL of the colour you require, all the glass is tempered so will withstand extremely high temperatures. I could have measured and fitted it myself but chose to let the supplier measure and fit as it then came with a warranty, plus the fitting was good first time. You really should consider the glass splash-back.

This is what I've chosen to do, quite happy with the decision now.

Nice choice OP. We also ducked the stainless steel sink trend (because noisy).

Post up some pics when you’re done!

I've gone blanco silgranit, will be fitted once the worktop is done...so can't comment on it yet, but the one in the showroom was very nice!
