But it’s not unlike many other little high streets IMO. Should think schools may factor - KCS short stroll.
I think perhaps the Tennis element probably appealing to foreign money ti be near quaint English happenings.
Yes tennis, great schools, restaurants, independent retailers, village atmosphere, substantial period housing with very large gardens, great views over the plebs in London, the 'unbroken' green spaces from the Common through Putney Heath to Richmond Park and beyond, tucked away 'country' type pubs, major hotel, they all have undoubted pull. But if you view Wimbledon Village as the northern outpost of the Surrey estates (inc. Coombe) then it perhaps makes more sense. Why live in the stinking morass that is London ( ) when you can get there easily enough if you want to, or escape from its influence very quickly when you need to, to the North Downs, South Coast, West Country, major airports, chunnel etc.? I think perhaps the Tennis element probably appealing to foreign money ti be near quaint English happenings.
Court House, Kimbolton. I like more rural properties as a rule but this one appeals to me very much.

Might be a problem with the garage of the above house - black Mercs has been parked across the KEEP CLEAR in front of the garage door for many years (except when they were having building work done 11 months ago) according to Google Maps...
Handy for the Post Office though.

Lovely house. Lots of good period character and I’m pleasantly surprised it was refurbished with ceiling speakers given it is Grace 2*! Shows listed properties could be nicely done up. Not entirely sure about it’s position on the high street though https://search.savills.com/property-detail/gbcarsc...

I walk down this road regularly. That part of Oxford is ridiculously expensive. The house is semi-detached with a tiny garden!Rich135 said:

Looking at the plan, I’d think that you couldn’t put a car in the garage and then close the garage doors, without a lot of faffing about. The doors appear to open inwards, meaning that your car is probably sticking out of the back doors of the garage in order to close them…Handy for the Post Office though.

That is very nice although they seem to have managed to make what I'm sure is a very expensive kitchen look like it's made out of raw MDF.Diderot said:

Described far better than I could, and one of the reasons we chose to be in the general vicinity though not quite in the swanky SW19 village postcodes. okgo said:

I think that’s fair. I still think they seem about 5m more than they should even taking all that into account. But they’re selling so I’m not correct Gassing Station | Homes, Gardens and DIY | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
