Getting to whatever crucial piece of equipment in that mystery box underneath the deck would be challenging.

Couple of current faves:

Weird to have 5acres+ & be so overlooked but I guess the problem with a barn conversion is a high chance you're either in a) the middle of nowhere, or b) the middle of a farmyard.

Would need to separate the kitchen/diner from the sitting room somehow, as I like to keep me, my cooking & my music separate from Mrs F, her books & the TV

Nice but I’m not sure about the flue for the wood burner running up through the bedroom right beside the bed - surely a more elegant solution could have been considered?
I’ve stayed here - well actually a group of us hired the White House down the hill from this plus this building for a 50th birthday. It was a great location where we had a fantastic weekend. What doesn’t show on the photos is how steep the site is - the White House is quite a long way below the barn so you wouldn’t be overlooked.
There was also a “sports” barn in the garden of the White House near the tennis court with indoor badminton courts, pool tables, bar etc or space for 20 or 30 cars this being PH. 5 mins down the hill to Salcombe. Close enough to dip into, but in a quiet location out of the main noise during the busy summer months. Very nice place all in all - I slept in the white house so can’t comment on the barn bit too much. Owned by a couple of City law partners so the story went back then.

This gem must surely have been on here before, but I'll post anyway. I imagine Shakespeare probably once lived here given the location.

The reassuring hum of 4 lanes of dual carriage just metres from your front door adds to the ambiance of paving company owner that this ooozes...

For that sort of money I’d much rather have this:

Went to a children's birthday party there; you'd have to really like the style to pay that money for it - I was underwhelmed.

How big is the leasiure complex you ask? One of my children got lost in the changing rooms area.

Are there special furniture shops where you can buy that sort of tat? Furnishing several houses over the years I've bough all sorts, but have never seen anything that vile.

I love the fact it has a massive snooker room which they have filled with a pool table.

Usually I can find something I like about a house but with that I'm really struggling.

I’d imagine it would be bespoke. Surely there can’t be many homeowners with such appalling taste biggrin

I posted this on the nightmares thread a while back. It’s been on the market for years and (unsurprisingly) just will not sell.

There must be a shop, because the owners of this understated house have also apparently bought from there. Though sadly their budget didn't quite stretch to an apostrophe (pic 18).

I drive past this sometimes to get to work, it looks fking awful from the road and completely out of character (if there is such a thing for this monstrosity) for the location. Money definitely doesn't buy taste...

There is not one feature, fixture or fitting that I would be able to live with, so add a mill to the price!
