Any Clarkson-inspired wannabe farmers?

That seems like a hell of a lot of dosh for only 130 acres of pasture...

Not sure I fancy being a cow farmer, that one doesn't seem like a good lifestyle!
Beef isn't too bad, dairy is terrible. I can't comment on the profitability of either these days

A time capsule… Looks like nothing has changed there for a century. Would cost a fortune to bring to date. Loads of potential for someone with deep enough pockets.

Lot 1 is a very particular shape implying some responsibility for a hedgerow or drainage culvert perhaps?
I assumed, given the clue in pic41, that it was a grass runway?

Rather nice place in Anglesey with it's own beach - snip at £2.4million

mesmerising location. But I don't like the house style at all. It looks too "simple".

Lovely, beach looks great. A little distant and maybe a tad windy on the top? Can you really do London in 3 hours by train, it takes an age to drive there.

4hr 13min is the quickest I can see on the train Euston to Holyhead. Only one change though.

Fair bit of active erosion and its not far from the edge. The view is nice but not especially interesting, same for the beach.

I wouldn't say no to it but not remotely at that price for me.

Google maps says just over 4 hours by train to Holyhead from London Euston station... compared to ~ 5 3/4 hours driving.

There is a direct train - quickest appears to be 3hr 45min to Holyhead

Two hours door to door to The City, for those who actually have to work.

Location belongs in the nightmares thread hence not selling.
Walking distance to the Station, which has direct trains to the other big city You know the centre of the northern powerhouse.

Mind you, I'm not sure if they still have an office in Macclesfield, but in the 70s when my dad worked at software science Corp, in the town centre, he often used to get the first train into London, to do software projects in "The" city.

You are right on the location lookingba but compromised. I'd rather be closer to Teggs Nose.

I also get the appeal of a beach, but an Anglesey beach? hehe

Is there any time of the year where you could swim in even a tiny bit of comfort?

I managed it one summer but it was still on the bracing side.
(My Dad used to live in Holyhead but now lives in Cemaes)

Parents live on Ynys Mon. Almost at the South East end of the island.

My perception of anything that close to Holyhead is that it's a no.

No offence to anyone that has to visit holyhead, but it always seems to be a place to avoid. I went there once in the Rain, and it wasn't as bad as Barrow.

As for travel to London. Who cares?

Its a great place to retire to, as the hospital in Bangor is pretty good.
Well that's to say they saved my dad's life a few times.

It's also a pain in the backside to get to when you actually need to rush. 2.5 hours from North Merseyside. In the car, at or below legal limit. The train would involve a couple of changes of station. And take 3 plus hours.

I’m pretty sure that’s a PHer’s house. It’s a huge amount of property for the money so I presume it’s not a very desirable location?

Yes it is. But I won’t name him because it makes me feel a bit uneasy when personal stuff and PH overlap too much.

Yep it is. There was an epic thread about the pool in the back garden being built a few years ago.

But I can’t find it.
