Much nicer than the one above in my opinion.

Man, I really like that.

It's also relatively unique, in that it's not isolated as castles tend to be.

Also, for anyone who doesn't know the area, have a look at that road on street view - there's a LOT of very interesting properties, and almost all have tremendous sea views.

I lived in a student house with this layout, late 80s. If someone was in the bath or on the throne, the poor sod whose room it was either couldn't get out or couldn't get in, I was mighty relieved to get one of the normal rooms when the straws were drawn. 5 people in the house so a fairly busy bathroom, 3 girls 2 blokes. No idea how we put up with it now but we muddled through.

I missed the free Defender part hehe

I think it's cracking place, with some really beautiful and cool details, but appallingly remote for me.

Shh.. don't put a negative spin on my mental image of running through fields / recreating the sound of music scene every day after moving in

Looking at the floor plan, doesn't seem like a proper 'hall' you'd be using with guests, etc.

Second kitchen, store and what would be my office are fed by that hall, so having it as an open utility/boot room is fine by me.

It's lovely.

That seems like a hell of a lot of dosh for only 130 acres of pasture...

Not sure I fancy being a cow farmer, that one doesn't seem like a good lifestyle!

I checked my emails for my lottery win. It just hasn't turned up yet. I'm sure it's just delayed.

Free Defender as seen on Google maps too!

Doesnt even look that far to be honest - theres the house at the top left, its not exacly a long way from the Tarmac Road.

They're pretty different houses. And it's 300k cheaper which will buy a lot of upgrades.
Love them both, but the remoteness of this one really appeals. Shame about the ugly solar panels; I’d have torelocate them somewhere in the garden

I used to live on that road, I agree there's a lot of lovely houses there, but I think the agent is over egging the transport links, it's a long way to anywhere useful. And the ferry to Gourock is foot only, otherwise a long drive (if you are REALLY desperate to get there!)

My 1st thought too re solar panels.

Also, pic 11... the lack of symmetry between front door and windows above makes my teeth itch.

It's been on here before and sale for a long time so I presume most people are taking your view on the remoteness
