I just ran a credit report on it and it's bizarrely positive. Yes he has a CCJ for £250, but also £270k cash in bank! Either some lying, fraud, money laundering or all of the above going on. £26.5k is the suggested credit limit and will be impacted by the CCJ.

They are two separate things;

RPGUK was referring to the Owner's investment in the business. This would be shown as "Shareholders Funds" in the bottom half of the balance sheet.

Assets used in the day-to-day business operations are shown in the Current Assets section of the Balance sheet. As this company trades in investments that is what the £19.5k figure relates to.

And he has a decent wedge of Cash in the business!

Of course this will be safely stored in his mini fridge.
