Is this right?

Business rent - invoice issued late Dec 2010 for scheduled payments as above.

Sounds right, but just wanted a 2nd op.

Invoice was issued before the VAT rate change therefore it was correct to show VAT at the rate in place at that time - assuming that it was correct to raise the invoice at that point in time.

That's the bit I was getting at.

Invoicing has been in this format for over 3 years.

Then I would say OK. The VAT man doesn't like it when a business changes its normal billing pattern just to squeeze in extra invoices to make the most of a VAT change.
