Online trading sites for small transactions

I am considering purchasing a few shares and would like to find a suitable online system for trading. I am looking at very low transactions (£50 - £100 a time). Are there any suitable sites for this?

transactions fees will be very high as a percentage of the investment

work on each transaction being a tenner or so

you could consider spreadbetting on each share instead, that would have a lower transaction fee and it would be built into the spread
