Can it be done? Keen to stick some money for the kids into the Indian market. 15 year view, and happy with the risk profile.

Question is; how might one go about such a thing?

Best way IMO is via a fund that invests in India. A CTF does not normally have enough funds to justify buying individual shares so use a unit trust type fund to spread the risk. My kids don't have any in India but they have Asia Pacific and Natural Resources funds. Just don't do like the majority of parents and leave the CTF in cash......

Put our little one's CTF via Self Trade. Then you can pick and choose your funds / ETFs / shares from there. No problems with them so far (been over two years).
