tax relief on VCTs - how do I receive if on PAYE?

I am a basic rate taxpayer on PAYE.

If I were to invest in a VCT what is the mechanism by which I would receive my tax relief on the investment? Adjustment of follwing year's tax code? Actual cash rebate? How?
