SEAT end of Finance agreement... what are my options
Discussion
Guys, need some idea of what the deal is at the end of a SEAT finance agreement.
I bought A SEAT Ibiza SC 1.6 (only 20, not earning much, seemed like a good idea at the time, que massive money struggles) and Im nearing the end of the finance agreement, I really want an FR 2.0 tdi or a cupra bocanegra as the next once but due to 1. massively cant afford almost 20k and 2. the depreciation seems to equal about 4/5k in the first year.
Is it possible to trade in my 3 year old pristine condition car for a second hand, around 1 year old FR or Bocanegra??

Assuming you own it then yep.The dealer will give you a price for your old car, and a price for the new (2nd hand) one.
Your job is to squeeze the cost to change (difference), his is to keep it as wide as possible to earn a living.
Whether you own it depends on how you bought/leased/PCP'd etc last time
Its solutions, the give it back, pay a baloon payment, or PX option one.
Another option im looking at is buying a car from a second hand car dealership, getting him to pay off the remaining finance and refinance the car I buy, can you do this?
another thought is that my car is worth around 6k but I only actually owe 5? what happens there?

Yes. The garage you buy the car off will sort all that out for you.ashleyp91 said:

You have a thousand pounds to play with (assuming whoever you want to buy a car off agrees with your valuation). You could just borrow £5K and keep the car if it's been OK - better the devil you know, and all that.
Talk to the SEAT dealer - dealers generally are pretty keen to get people to take out new PCP's (the whole point of them is to get people to buy a new car every 3 years) so they should be keen to find an acceptable deal.

I thought that would be the case, only reason is that im not too sure about another SEAT, service i have had with these dealers has been absolutely terrible!

Par for the course, from reading the SEAT forums. SEAT UK are appalling too. I quite like the car (it's my daughter's Ibiza) but I can't see us having another one. It's broken down 4 times (not what you expect when you buy a car from new) and miserably failed its MOT at 4yrs/34K miles. SEAT thought that was fine. I didn't.

took weeks to get them to admit that the warranty would cover in this instance. i then had to replace my washer bottle because the pump was never sealed at manufacture, however they tried to make me pay for this too! absolute joke, like you say, its a shame really, the Car itself is really nice, got good bit of pokiness, plenty for me anyway. although the pull of a 2.2 d Honda Civic for 8k is getting to me.
Just for balance, we've had two SEATs (Leon then Ibiza for SWMBO) from a dealer and the MIL has had one from new from the same place. Cars have been nearly faultless and the dealer service excellent. Had the wife's latest 54 plate Ibiza since late 2005, nearing 60k and no real issues. Shame the bad ones have a negative affect on the good ones.
Point being, try a different SEAT dealer (although I appreciate there aren't huge numbers around)?

There are some enormous gaps in the network. One of the breakdowns my daughter's car had was in N Wales and the car had to be taken to Crewe. A SEAT dealer did open in Chester early last year but it lasted less than a year.I think if the MOT failure on our car had been handled better then it would have been OK - I'm pretty sure there was actually nothing wrong with the car but I made the cardinal error of taking up the dealer's free MOT offer and they scammed me. I did get the money back off SEAT UK eventually but only after a series of really stupid letters from them.
