A few weeks back I bought something on my Natwest Maestro card, which expires at the end of this month and has been replaced by a Visa debit card.

I need to get a refund on this particular item and have already started using the Visa card. Will I encounter any problems getting a refund as it is a different type of card with a different number, bearing in mind it is a natural replacement for the Maestro?

Is the Maestro automatically void once I start using the Visa? I can't really get back to the shop easily before Sunday, but if there's going to be a problem then I'll make a special journey before the Maestro expires.

The problem would be refunding to a different account (rather than card)

I personally wouldn't worry about making a special journey, just get the refund when you are next over there and present the new card, but also keep your old card with you in case it's queried in the shop.

If the till person won't actiin the refund ask to see the manager and explain the situation cal my and all should be resolved ok

Hope that helps

Without any problems ? Without calling the manager over ? If so, that's pretty good.
