Any recommendations? Currently looking at Fidelity's website...looks pretty good, nothing complicated, or I could stick with my bank. ...any fund recommendations? smile

Oh, and I opened a stocks and shares ISA with my bank a month or so ago but haven't funded it yet, does this mean I can open an ISA to invest in with, e.g. Fidelity, without problem? Thanks smile

No fees, no risk, no tax, no standing on the roof when the fund crashes and leaves with 60% of its value and the only thing to show for your loss but a daily mail campaign.

But there are so many fund managers and fund types to choose from.

Do you want something risky or "safe"?

Look at the number of SICAV funds available in Luxembourg - 2nd largest mutual fund business in the world, only losing out to the U.S. Many of the funds here have UK based asset managers ......

Thanks all, lots to look into. I won't be putting much in for now, just trying some alternative and potentially high gain investments as regular saving accounts really don't cut it for me. Got some shares I look after myself as well, but interested to see how the pros compare.
