Anyone used Greenhill Research Partners - Switzeland ?

It rarely makes sense (assuming you are UK domiciled) to utilise the services of an overseas wealth manager.
For example, how will your money be held? Under what regulatory umbrella will you be operating?
I have a few simple golden rules for financial institutions:
Do they have a traceable phone number on their website? This is a massive red flag.
Did they contact you or you them? The former is a massive red flag.
Are they regulated in a jurisdiction that recognises UK law?
Do they make reference to a legendary investor in their brochure material like Soros or Buffet?

These guys seem to be operating a boiler-room scam but like most things it is difficult to say for sure. Here are a few pointers they should be on FINMA the Swiss FSA and if you check the lists they do not appear.
When ever they ask for money you will find it is not the company name that the money is going to.
You will find they have phoned you up out of the blue (cold calling ). They will offer you a deal under market value which would mean you could sell the shares for a profit as soon as you bought them. Bit of a clue, why would they not take the profit themselves? They will be doing the trade for free or a later commission again too good to be true.
Take it from me if you send money to a boiler room scam you will not see your money again.
If you have been involved with this company and think you might have lost money contact the police and explain what has happened. They will not be able to recover your money but they will be able to confirm your suspicions and you will be saving someone else.
