Credit card advice please!
Discussion
Hi Guys,
I've been thinking recently about getting a credit card and could do with a bit of advice.
I’m 25, technically I rent my house (mortgage and house is still in my mums name though I pay the bills), currently earn £25k though start a job next month on £30k, don’t have an overdraft, never had a loan, PAYG phone etc. The only thing that I’ve had a credit check for was virgin broadband on the house. I have no debt at all.
I have no bad credit but on the other hand I don’t have any good credit either. The card would be for building a better credit rating (pay for fuel and meals out etc and pay it off in full at the end of the month) and for emergencies.
Am I likely to get a credit card if I apply? What card (or type of card) should I be looking for in my situation?
