Hi P.H collective,

Quick one, my dad has reached the age where he is now looking to
dispose of his assets (no you can't have them). Having looked around
at various IFA's / Solicitor's with wealth management people ETC

I've come to the conclusion it's almost impossible to find anyone
who is truly independent who will just work on a straight fee with a
360' understanding of the law, IHT, etc..

So can anyone recommend a good egg?

Just to clarify, it's not investment guidance its' more "how to not own
what you have and what are the implications and most efficient ways of doing that"

answers on a post card ...

Many thanks!

I would say you want a big indpendent IFA that also has a tax advisory/structuring department. Hopefully they should know all the angles plus be able to advise you on the best products, in my experience an accountantcy or law firm may know what you can do they may not know the best way/products to do it. If you live in the SE I can recommend a decent firm (that I have no connection to other than being a client).
