Hi all,

I want to start investing in shares and was wondering if LLoyds share dealing account was a good way to go, if not how else would i go about it.

Any advice would be appreciated.

thats all I use, its not the cheapest, but was convenient for me when I started, I got used to the interface and never bothered to change

its a bit antiquated design and not intuitive, but does the job

about average for fees...that get cheaper the more you trade

they just overhauled the whole GUI for their on line banking so maybe they will get around to the share trading sooner or later......

I use to use lloyds a couple of years ago but found when i wanted to dump shares i would only be able to dump a few thousand a time costing me £10 a time biting into my profit.

Are there any other reputable online trading accounts?

lots.

I use X-O ( http://www.x-o.co.uk ) who are cheap and good, and Barclays.
III which I think is halifax are meant to be decent enough too.

Others I've no idea about but frequently get mentioned when this subject crops up are TD Waterhouse, iWeb, plus just about all of the major banks. Look out for monthly charges and so on with banks though as well as the cost of each trade.
