Lloyds Silver Bank Account
Discussion
I'm thinking of upgrading my Current Account (cost to me - zero) to the Lloyds Silver account.
I get :
AA Car cover
Travel Insurance
Money exchange card
Mobile phone insurance
All for 2 X £3 per month and then the rest of the year £8 per month.
Any reason why I shouldnt go for it? Seems a good deal to me...
My only reservation is that once they get me paying for an account they'll never let me go back to 'free' banking....

NatWest tried to get me to do this, except they couldn't give me any information on what the insurance policies actually covered
The customer services chump then said it didn't matter as I could sign up for a 3 months free trial which turned into a 60 day trial within a few minutes. The bloke seemed genuinely surprised (and admittedly a little embarrassed) when I queried this and it took him a few moments to realise that 60 days wasn't 3 months. I left it at that.
