I am considering buying a car.

During an HPI check the dealer has unit finance on the vehicle

apparantly Dealers use this type of finance to fill there forecourts.

Before handing over any cash how do I ensure the finance is paid of
as I purchase the vehicle.

It's also know as a stocking facility.

Nothing to worry about, they're like a secured OD facility for dealers to pay for stock and quite common place.

There's no way to ensure it's paid before you buy, as chances are the dealer will use your readies to settle it.
