A work colleague is looking for a non-tied advisor to help her with a pension scheme. Can anyone recommend, without reservation, a person they have used successfully in the recent past. We are in London but in this fabulous interweb world I don't think thats an issue really.

Thanks

Richard

Yes, chap called Paul Everitt of PJ Financial Services. Can be emailed at pj.financial3@btinternet.com. Just sorted out a new mortgage for us by taking out all the hassle. He said they look at pensions too. Based in Lewisham but came out to Kent to see me.

ONLY, and I repeat ONLY a chartered financial planner with J04, J05 and AF3. Any non advanced pension specialist will be crap at knowing the ins and outs and the difference will be night and day. That I can promise you. If they say they know all about pensions then why haven't they got the qualifications. Trust me, pensions are complex and a fat old man that hasn't kept studying over the past 5 years when all the changes have been made post a-day will know nothing about them.

I have all the qualifications but i'm too busy at the moment - I don't know anyone in london but take my advice. Oh, and pay by fees not commission if you can.
Everything MCM has said is very true. My brother is a Chartered financial planner and the firm is also Chartered. He only works via fee's but will happily give a quick, free, review/assessment. I'll get him to bounce over a PM to you and you can take it from there if it suits.
