Just put a cheque into my account for £30, upon checking the receipt when I got home it said.........£300.

Should I have a BIG grin on my face, or expect them to pick up on it?

Withdraw the cash, close the account and leave the country for the tax haven of your choice.

It's not your money. They're entitled to it back. Don't be silly.

If you've been credited £300, somebody is going to be debited £300. It'll be noticed fairly rapidly I'd think!

Must have cost you more than £10 to give it back then.
