Right, I applied for a mobile interweb package thingemybob today - for which the credit check failed. Bit narfed off tbh.

I'm 22, no outstanding debts, only taken finance once before (45k loan secured on assets to part-buy a business with) - that was paid off in under 6 months.

I've never checked my credit score before, but have just done with creditexpert.co.uk and it's at 999 and is telling me i'm above 71% of the population etc... etc...

Is it because I don't have much of a credit history? Surely the loan I had would count towards that?

Parfetic.

yes, you need history ...go and buy a new tv or some consumer electronics on interest free credit or suchlike ...they want to see you have debt, but repay it...that makes you a good candidate to lend to for them to make more money out of

...living on cash and having no debt is bad - it dosent keep the worlds money machine merry go round working "inventing" more imaginary money LOL wink
