Evening All,

Does anyone know of any price comparison sites or similar which provide quotes for accidental death insurance? The likes of moneysupermarket.com and Go Compare only seem to provide quotes for full life insurance.

I'm looking specifically for accidental death cover because my wife's diabetes means that quotes for life insurance which include any sort of health-related cover are both absurdly expensive and come with terms which would allow them to weasel out of pretty much anything by blaming it on diabetes.

Hopefully nothing is going to happen to the love of my life, but if she were to be killed by a freak falling tree branch or something, the last thing I'd want is to be financially screwed on top of everything else.

It is so cheap shopping around more hassle than it is worth.

Just use a current financial supplier.

I have a policy for about 300k (it keeps going up) which costs less that £4 a month via Lloyds.

I've also seen policies that would only give £50k cover for £4, so it actually does seem worth looking around! Assuming it's linear, then that's a big difference in premium.

I would imagine it has to do with the other things I had with them at the time.

They made the offer and TBH I have never thought about it since.

The sum assured has increased regularly - I guess they view accidental death as less likely, and something else as more likely to get you as time marches on.

Policy does have limitations - if I go in a bike accident pays out nothing for example.
