Credit cards & CCJ's

Does anyone on here know if banks routinely check for CCJ's before renewing expired credit cards to their customers,also do banks cancel existing credit cards if a customer recieves a ccj?

I don't think that banks routinely do credit checks if you already have a product with them unless you requested a significant increase in the amount of credit.

A friend of mine received a default (his lenders mistake) and had a reasonable amount available to him on credit which was never reduced due to the default.
