0 deferred period, not mortgage linked, and at a reasonable cost, no chance!

There is unemployment cover which is not linked to mortgage payments, but you will be paying a lot if you can find someone who offers it with a 0 deferment period.

And just to confuse things more, most providers of redundancy cover at the moment only offer it to those taking a mortage out / remortgaging - not to existing borrowers!

As for why, I've never managed to get a straight answer myself, maybe another one of the advisors here will know, but I've asked many people and they all have different answers!
