Is it subject to tax and NI or just tax?

Also, is the full amount subject to the highest tax rate you pay?

Does your pension contribution get deducted from this?

Thanks

Overtime is taxed no differently to normal hours.

Once you're over your tax band you have additional earnings at 22 or 40% plus NI as per your other wages...Assuming your total is under £115k pa etc smile

Do people earning over £115k pa get offered such a thing as 'overtime'?

Thanks
I seem to remember in the news some police officers nearly falling into this bracket.

It was meant tongue in cheek, as from April, you start to lose your tax allowances by £1 for every £2 of income as you go above £100,000. By £115,000 there will be none left...

For normal overtime, your total income is taxed at 20% for up to £37400 above your tax code, and then 40% above that...
