Credit card incorrect late payment

Hi folks,

My credit card company has charged me a fee for a late payment on a fraudulent transaction which they had agreed to refund (and have done so), but it is showing on my credit report as a late payment. I have asked them to correct it and they have agreed to, but it still has not been done.

Is it the credit card company themselves I must talk to to get this amended or do i need to talk to the reference agencies?

The credit card company to have it removed from your record.

All you can do with the reference agencies is leave a note on your file, which can cause more hassle than it is worth.
