Which Bank for Current a/c & Offset Mortgage?

Right chaps, Lloyds are in danger of seriously pissing me off over a trivial matter so I am considering switching banks. I have approximately enough in my savings to cover my outstanding mortgage and as I am still working I have the usual incoming and outgoing D/Ds and S/Os etc. Which would be considered the best bank who offers an all in one current account and an off-set mortgage? Having been with Lloyds for over 30 years it's not something I've ever looked into before now! Cheers Rich...

First Direct for residential mortgage or Intelligent Finance for Buy To Let type mortgage. Both do online banking etc. etc., and I have an account and mortgage with both.

I'm with Intelligent Finance who have been OK, but are owned by Halifax which are also now part of Lloyds.

From personal experience, Woolwich (Barclays) have been fine for me. At the time it was the best combination of rates, fees and convenience for me. A mate has recently moved away from the One Account (which is managed by RBS I believe) to First Direct, whom I've never heard a bad word about. I'd look at what's on offer from those two first.

RBS is Gov't owned,but nothing to do with Llyods.

One account is indeed RBS who the gov't has ~84% stake. Bank of Scotland is part of Lloyds banking group, common confusion. Lloyds group is ~42% owned by gov't.

Barclays Offset - no complaints and a good deal.

Also Barclays has the highest security for online banking annoying at times to use it but your totally safe which is worth the time.

Barclays is a proper Bank, I do not like them but find they do what they say on the tin unlike others. HSBC also good on this score.

Moved mine across to Woolwich (Barclays) two weeks ago.
All good well recommended, I wish they did the current account moving service though. Moved from LTSB and running two joint accounts is a pain, short term pain.
