Hi Folks

Wonder if anyone has any experience of dealing with wecan:claimit.co.uk? Part of the wecangroup?

We have been approached by this firm who want to act on our behalf to claim back PPI and interest on a FirstPlus loan we have.

A bit of reasearch on the internet only reveals they are authorised by the Ministry of Justice, so wondering really if anyone of here had any experience with this company before I commit?

Cheers

RM

well the "sell" we have received so far is that there is no charge unless they win, in which case it will be either 10% or 15% of the total they claim back.Service Charges

Upon a successful claim, the Company's charge a Service Charge of:

7.5% plus VAT on claim awards of £35,000 or above
10% plus VAT on claim awards of between £20,000 and £34,999
15% plus VAT on claim awards between £5000 and £19,999
25% plus VAT on claim awards of £4999 and below
This will be applied to each successful claim made payable out of the claim proceeds. For example, if the Company succeeds in obtaining compensation and or reductions and or savings in indebtedness of £5000 on a claim, the total service charge would be £750 plus VAT (£862.50). The client would receive £4137.50.

If your claim is for a credit card being overturned then the Service Charge is a fixed £287.50 including VAT on each successful claim.

Is this pretty fair/average?

After a ton of deliberation, we have come to the conclusion we were talked into taking PPI on a FirstPlus Loan.

It has now occurred to us having examined a shed load of paperwork that the PPI was added to the actual loan and as such has been attracting interest. Consequently we (wifey and me) have decided to try and claim this back, which in turn led to us looking at reclaim companies.

That's clearer.

I would assume your avenue of attack would be that the insurance was "mis-sold" to you.

They would claim that the terms and conditions were made clear to you.

You would argue that they were not.
