I have filed my self assesment online, and it calculates I need to pay about £200 to the account which is student loan repayments (tax, NI etc are all OK).

However, the website will not allow me to go to any payment screen as it says I have no tax to pay for the submitted financial year. The main SA screen says the same.

However, when I go into the main detail for the SA return, it quite clearly says a payment of £200 is expected on/before 31st January 2010.

Anyone?

Did you get the reminder about submitting a tax return from HMRC in December/January? That would have had a payslip attached.

Have you received Statements of Account from HMRC earlier in the year? They would have had payslips attached too.

If you have an online bank account, then you are making a payment to HMRC their bank sort code 10-50-41 their bank account no. 23456000, and then all you is to quote your personal Tax Reference no., and the amount you want to pay.
