or anyone else in the know.

Aside from the 3% that is on offer through the mainstream, what is the best roi available with a pot of £0.5M?

Return needs to be paid monthly, capital accessible within a 12 month notice period.

All input greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

that's not really a thing for fund/wealth managers as they normally deal in investments not savings.

the bog standard stuff is prob your best bet sadly - most companies start doing different deals when you start talking many millions.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
Ok, same question, but let's call it an investment. In the way that Soros advertises typical performance of 30%, what's typical for a medium risk portfolio with a monthly return?

So invest in a fund or fund of funds. Different funds have different investment requirements (size of investment and your experience). Your classification as a 'professional' is important for many hedge funds because they are then less regulated and can make more risky trades in a wider variety of products.

Funds like Soros' quant fund do return in those regions but typically you will be charged 2% annually on capital invested and they will then take about 20% of the returns they achieve. So in an example of 30% return you will end up with about 22%. But bear in mind that unless you back a 'winning horse' you will be looking at netting 5-10%.

Every fund has a specific investment strategy/style as well as structure, havent got much experience with them but i dont know if returns are paid monthly.

'most' investment funds i believe to get a reasonable return you are looking for a 5 year investment
Probably the best bet is to speak to an IFA first of all, most give a 'free' setting the scene hour
