Mrs Saleen has got herself a part time job to boost her income, she informed me she has to pay tax @ 40% on the income from her 2nd job, is that correct? I thought no as both incomes combined still don't take her over the higher rate tax bracket, I sit here to be corrected though.
Who told her she has to pay tax at 40%. is her combined income from the two jobs greater than £41,275. If not, then the second job should be taxed at a straight 20%.
She will, of course, be paying Employees NIC on both salaries.
