Hi all, I've posted with regard to this matter before.

I'm owed some money from over paying income tax in the last few years, the money i am owed would make my life a little easier right now, but due to the muppets at HMRC, I'm still no closer to receiving it than i was in May last year when i initially submitted my claim.

Every hoop they have put infront of me, i have jumped through. Everytime i submit the required paperwork, it goes missing, is filled out wrong or they generally cant be arsed with it. They money isnt ear marked for anything in particular, i just know its better in my capable hands than theirs, which leads me onto the question;

A quick google suggests there are various companies who do all the leg work for you (for a fee, obviously) but are they trustworthy? And, can anyone reccomend me one?

Go to an accountant. That's what they do.

Its not an immense amount of money though, and i'm sure an accountants fee's would take a sizable amount from what I'm owed.

Ps. Thanks for all the advice on various other threads regarding this matter from me over the past months. smile
