Abbey having problems crediting accounts

Anyone else having issues with Abbey today? My wages were supposed to have gone in today (but haven't) and the OH's are tomorrow, but Abbey are apparently having problems with "posting credits to accounts" or so the recorded message on their telephone banking says.

Anyone know about this or what's going on?

Yes, they're owned by a bunch of s who have cut the life out of the IT Support functions since they took over and are now paying the price.

its been taken over since 2004 however its the takeover that has caused a lot of the computer problems and also its the takeover that has meant that santander (who are very tight) have not spent enough in the correct depts to keep it going as well as it should - so yes, santander are terrible

Yeah, sadly i was with abbey IT department before, during and after that time - like you i suspect!!

That said, i eventually got to leave with a suitcase full of redundancy money, oh, and i had taken out redundancy insurance with Abbey (using employee discount) about a year beforehand, so that paid out a handy £1500 a month until i got another job.
