whats everyone doing? i'm still on the fence on this one, my brain is saying swallow the tail, though i'm so fed up with the share i'm tempted to let it lapse and take the cash
I took the last one up, am probably going to leave this and take whatever cash comes. Mainly as dont have that cash laying around to buy more. The FT has another couple of articles on the topic

I took the last one up, am probably going to leave this and take whatever cash comes. Mainly as dont have that cash laying around to buy more.I have Lloyds in the kids' child trust funds and let the previous one (or was it two?) lapse, fairly glad I did given what happened to the share price subsequently. However this time I think I'll take them up. The increased market share with HBOS will - eventually - pay dividends. I hope.
My daughter thanks you, Mr Brown, for forcing HBOS on Lloyds and decimating the share price. My son isn't fussed though, as he got his a lot cheaper!

I was unable to buy any more, so sold entire holding last Weds. Bought them all back on Friday, and ended up with 55% more stock for the same invested value. Still not sure what will happen to the price in the short term when the new shares are traded, but over a 12 month period it's got to be better than money in the Building Society. After all, this floatation is only boosting the balance sheet to keep the Gov't off their back, so you'd imagine that share price should theoretically return to the pre-floatation price of circa £1.
You can add that to your collection of famous last words no doubt!
