FFS!

My debit card got cloned last December, now tonight, my Credit Card company phoned to ask about a suspect transaction for £821 for flights from United Airlines, immediately after £30 prepay on O2.

Neither of these were me or my wife so it looks like our CC has now been done.

Probably when I was using it whilst down in London at the end of September as it's the only time I think i've let it out of my site.

What a pain in the @rse these lowlife scumbags are - hope they catch bad aids!

Anyone else been stung recently?

Sort of.

My credit card stopped working, i assumed i was on the limit and it took me a couple of weeks to get around to chasing it up. I was told that my card was no longer secure and that they would be sending me a new one and a new pin.

All arrived in a couple of days but i am none the wiser as to why it was changed.

Mine was used for flights too.

I don't get this - surely if they picked up the transaction then they could nab the person with the ticket at the airport? OK, the authorities might not be bothered, but it seems a bit of a risk for the perps to take.

Someone tried.

Got a call from MBNA (who I've not had a card from for about 3 years) called to say someone had tried to obtain a CC in my name. Thought the call was a scam but checked it out and was real.

Alerted my other providers as advised but the problem now is that anything slightly weird gets flagged. Was in Riyadh on Tuesday and none of my cards worked!!!

Had mine done for £6000 a couple of years ago. Flights, ferries, congestion charge fees, furniture and car insurance. Got all cash back and did some searching myself and traced to a Nigerian female living in Dublin. No one had the slightest interest in locating her. Pretty sure it was taken from an Ebay transaction somehow
