Real-time quotes
Discussion
Does anyone use http://www.iii.co.uk/quotestream/?type=features ? Looks OK for £20 a month.
I am thinking of starting to do some trading in my own time and this looks like a worth while investment.
Does anyone know of any other solutions?

If you are just starting, I'd question your need for real time data at all.
The professionals have it, but they have expensive, custom auto-traders and direct, fast, links to the exchange(s) to place their orders. As an amatuer there is no point trying to race them- you'll lose every time.
As you are, by definition, playing a slower 'game', I'd see how well you do with free, delayed quotes before you start bumping up your costs.

Yep. Swing trading is probably a safer bet (scuse the pun). Matsmith appears to have nailed it and I don't think he uses Level 2.The professionals have it, but they have expensive, custom auto-traders and direct, fast, links to the exchange(s) to place their orders.
