Evening,

Owing to my high-street banks own admission of miscompetence, I now have the opportunity of stiffing them back for a few hundred - at least...

However, I'm wanting to understand what their own bank charges are? Hourly rate / cost to send a letter / telephone call etc.

I cannot find anything on line, either for my bank (a horse...) or any other published tarrif on bank charges.

Any ideas?

Thanks all,

ADJ

Banks don't charge on that basis, preferring to charge per event - £35 for missed DD, £25 for monthly overdraft fee

What has happened?

This is all you need to know.

Banks will never diclose what it actually costs them for overlimit fee's, late payment fee's, as this would mean they would have to reduce their charges.

You simply state that they are unfair, you'll get it back, nobody has lost a case to date.

You need to have the balls to take it all the way, follow that websites instructions.

I've heard of this happening alot but not sure of any facts, what can you claim back?

I.e. I know and have been told that if I use the reserve on my account I will be charged £22 every 5 working days or every time I go into the reserve (now closed by the way), but can I still claim this money back? even though I knew I'd be charged if I used the facility?

Thanks Guys...

I may have mislead you a little bit...

My bank accidently closed a number of my accounts - thus causing us;

a) Incremental Cost
b) Incremental Management Time

They were asked to close one account of many, and through their own admission, closed the lot of them. This resulted is a lot of work and hassle in reinstating everything.

They have agreed that they will enter into some sort of compensation agreement with us. What I am trying to achieve is a position where I can prove that they a) would charge me £15 per phone call made on my behalf and then I can rebill them at their own tarrif, as I had to make a phonecall on their behalf -- it's finding a published tarrif of their own management charges that I'm struggling with...
