Does anyone use these? I was looking at getting this one http://www.rbs.co.uk/personal/current-accounts/g1/... I need travel insurance and was looking at mobile phone insurance too so thought this might work out a decent price for everything else included. The phone companies always say that other companies phone insurance isn't as good as their but o2 charge £10 per month!

Any reports of experience using the bank's services would be appreciated.

I use RBS Royalties Private. I've used the mobile phone insurance and I'm overseas 2/3 of the year - makes it very suitable for me.

Is the service ok then? Do they make it easy enough to claim or use the other services?

They've been great, never queried a phone claim and there's a seperate line where I can usually talk to someone in Scotland and fairly sensible on any account queries!

The only real benefits of the £6.95 account is card protection (will just save you a few phone calls, not really any money saved), and most home insurance policies will cover phones up to a reasonable level. The only thing the dedicated phone policies cover extra will be calls made after the theft.

I recently claimed on my natwest advantage gold phone insurance.

Wasn't too bad, they threw my case out, but after a long strongly worded email eventually changed their tune and I got the moeny today. It was nicked about a month ago.

That's only on the £12.95 service, which looks like it's worth the various services you get. Annual multi-trip is about £60-70 for a family.

Some Banks/BS's give European Travel insurance anyway with some accounts. I get it from A&L Premier, it's a free account as long as you pay in £1,000 a month.
