I now have the answer to my question, doesn't affect me to be honest but am somewhat concerned about other funders following suit. Anybody got any ideas?

You can still finance cars direct with Lombard. Unfortunately Lombard has closed all credit lines to brokers which is public knowledge now. I guess that was question? A lot of funders are closing lines to brokers because there is a higher percentage of default on agreements that are introduced via brokers.
