Due to my own ineptitude, I was overdrawn for about 4 hours on Monday

So far my bank seem to have not noticed.
Does anyone know what the charge would be - it's a HSBC current account. I am expecting around 35 sovs?

I would ask them but I don't want to draw attention to it!

HSBC generally apply charges at the end of the month, and yeah, they are in the £25-35 range.

You might be okay.

I have done similiar with my First Direct account (owned by HSBC) and you have until midnight (on a business day) to top up your account before you will be charged!

Thanks

matt.

You're only overdrawn if you are overdrawn at midnight.

I'm with Lloyds TSB and it was if you were o/d at the end of the business day that you were charged and it sounds as though you weren't so you should be ok.

Yep I used to work for HSBC and if you're back in the black by close of the working day then they won't charge you.
