Contracts Question.
Discussion
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this but . . .
I have had a company contact me asking for a 'remainder of the month payment' for a contract I cancelled two weeks in advance.
There was no information about a months notice period being required given to me at any time from this company. I asked them if they could supply evidence of me being informed of, or having accepted this contract or anywhere where I would have been informed there was a months notice period required.
This company has been unable to supply me with any of this but merely states that they 'believe' it is 'standard practice' for services that are payed monthly to have a months notice period required in advance of cancellation as standard.
Although it sounds unlikely to me, is this at all correct? Is there legally an automatic months notice required for any service you pay for in monthly installments?
Thanks.
