Recommend a Financial Advisor
Discussion
I know there are loads of sites out there that can recommend one, but the problem is how do you know you are getting a good one.
So the idea is to ask you lot!
Have you had a good experience with a good financial advisor? The topics I need to cover are mortgages, possible moving to buy-to-let to get another house. Obviously savings/deposits/joint ownership of new house needs to be discussed too.
Any recommendations would be great.
Cheers

Sorry to hijack your thread here, but scotal, can you e-mail me too?
I've been meaning to sort my finances out for a while, I beleive I probably do a fairly good job already - but I would say that and I'm probably not at all !
I'm especially interested in any way's i can improve my tax position as i seem to get absolutly hammered by Mr Brown.

You need to be clear about what you mean by "Financial Adviser".
They tend to come in different categories - accountants (like me) or independent investment advisers.
Accountants are better when it comes to general accounts and tax advice, IFAs when it comes to chosing where to invest your money.

Is this not enough? They tend to come in different categories - accountants (like me) or independent investment advisers.
