It is often cryed that when government policy rolls over us that i should write to my MP

But should i bother as he is a Lib Dem so therefore is in the opposition what exactly can he do.

So i have listed some other folk who i see as having more power

Who do you think has most influence on government policy

Any incoming administration has to have a bloodletting when it comes to government "advisors". If you don't get rid of them in the first six months you'll be listening to them for however long you happen to be in power...

The Tabloid editor most definitely.

If you were talking in terms of their whole sectors, e.g. Tabloids (in general, maybe even newspapers), Civil Service etc., you may get a different answer.

Should really read 'The owner of the Sun newspaper', as the editor will largely just do as he/she is told.

Indeed.

A modern day Earl of Warwick.

I think the person who The Sun says vote for wins...... I have something in the back of my mind which tells me that it is indeed the case, something like X number of elections have been won by the person that the Sun supported..

It is even more powerful today than before though. When combined with its big brother The Times, they have a large spectrum licked.

The Mirror's decline has had the most serious effect though, as Tabloid power is rather unbalanced.

Which is so worrying and the great flaw with 'democratic elections'. People with the IQ of a toaster voting on the basis of the opinion of a comic.
