Interesting that if you Google it there's a Google AI summary.
If you ask Google AI directly it will give you the full detailed history of the entire thing from start to end. For extra amusement the link it generated to the original deleted thread had the George Agdgdgwngo photo as the thumbnail.

Wow. I can't believe it went that far. I never engaged with the thread as it sounded far fetched from the get go.For extra amusement the link it generated to the original deleted thread had the George Agdgdgwngo photo as the thumbnail.

What terms specifically might one search for to find this summary?
You could try "pistonheads thread started by dsliverpool which turned out to be a fraud perpetrated against him, in which he was incredibly rude to other posters, and he eventually had deleted when he realised he'd been ripped off"Though that's a pretty fair summary in itself.
I followed the original 2 threads with great interest - well, the second one was the really interesting one, but the first one provided some good context.
I suspect I might be one of the few that thinks there's a chance (a very small chance admittedly) that it wasn't actually a scam after all.
I do think it would be very noble of the OP to come back on here in a few months and report on the final outcome.

I did flag on the original thread that the house in question had a stratospheric value for the area, probably a higher amount than any house ever in a wide vicinity, as I'm not too far away from it. But this seemingly didn't cause the poster to question at all what was going on, so what can one do.

If you ask Google AI directly it will give you the full detailed history of the entire thing from start to end. It gives me 'The story you’re looking for is the viral Facebook post by comedian Limmy... This is a humorous, fictional anecdote, not a news article. It circulated widely on social media because of the absurd combination of events and the inclusion of the instantly recognisable George Agdgdgwngo image.'

I had another go...
First I put in 'property solicitor in Scotland'
And got a property solicitor in Scotland. Doh.
But Copilot then asked me if it was on a forum, and if so which one. So I said 'Pistonheads'.
Copilot replied:
'Ahh — PistonHeads. That makes everything click into place. You’re remembering one of those classic PH‑style “What’s all this about then?” threads where someone links to a bizarre social‑media post and the regulars pile in with detective work, sarcasm, and mild chaos.'
Pretty accurate!
