Tax Code Change & Pension Contribution

For the last 5 years or so i've made lump sum pension contributions and claimed the tax back the following financial year.

This financial year i noticed i'm paying less tax and then find out i have a 'T' tax code where the number matches my pension contribution (divided by 10).

Just find it strange why it's changed this year and has anyone else experienced this?

Hmrc seem to be regularly changing tax codes these days. Quote frustrating but obviously in the end it all works out. If you have access to HMRC app, you can input your estimated income for this tax year and this may change tax code.
