Has anyone heard of them? https://www.maclear.ch/about-us

Had an advert on youtube this morning, offering 15% return.... I presume its too good to be true?

Is Swiss regulation a good thing?

Swiss regulation is a good thing for Swiss residents. Swiss regulated means registered with FINMA (the equivalent of the U.K. regulators). This firm are part of a self-regulating organisation for anti-money laundering, which seems to be overseen by FINMA. That doesn t mean that they are regulated as a financial services provider. I ve no idea if P2P lending is a regulated activity in the UK, but if it is, they would also need to be regulated there, even (especially?) as a cross-border service.

This doesn t pass any kind of sniff test for me:
15% returns
P2P
Advertising on FB
Cross-border
Shonky regulation statement

ETA I’ve worked in Swiss banking for nearly two decades

Thank you biggrin

Confirmed my thoughts, I watched the add and my thought was what sort of SME is borrowing at rates that permit a 15% return, so I googled them and they get super reviews.
