Probably quite a rare event during recent years, so might be of interest to highlight.

I do have an interest in several UK companies that undertake a considerable amount of business in America, but I did miss out on the 'Golden Seven'.


2025 Year to Date figures.

S & P 500
Price Return = +6.06%
Total Return = +6.85%

FTSE 100
Price Return = +10.96%
Total Return = +13.42%

You will note that dividend payments in the UK, represent a larger proportion of shareholder return, than in the US.

The FTSE 100 did really well in February/March when the US was reacting to Trump.

I think that period accounts for most of the ytd difference.
